Beautiful Morning

Let me just preface this post by saying

that I have spent many, many October 15s

in the mountains

freezing my

you know what

OFF

in search of winter meat:)

But this year we waited until January 15,

(which was a very nice warm morning)

for a hike out through the pasture

while watching a small herd of elk

single file down the fence line:)

And then a hike back across the pasture

to get the snow machines

to do the heavy work.

I think I like this kind of hunting!

It really was a beautiful morning!!!
And we will soon have
a freezer full of meat
to feed us
through the rest of the winter:)
and then some.
